BOB DYLAN - All Along the Watchtower / I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (single, 1968)

All Along the Watchtower fait partie des chansons majeures du XXè siècle. (certains vont trouver ça exagéré, mais qu'importe !)
Bien évidemment, tout le monde se souvient de la version mémorable de Jimi Hendrix où il a totalement changé la rythmique mais en gardant le pattern d'origine et surtout en restant fidèle à la construction mélodique.
L'intro guitare folk + harmonica est juste parfaite ! L'ensemble de la chanson est parfaite. Comme le souligne Bob Dylan lui-même, les évènements dont il est question dans All Along the Watchtower sont placés dans ordre anti-chronologique. La fin est donc le début. C'est un truc de dingue hein ?
Ouais, Bob Dylan est un dingue, un poète, un artiste, un mec intelligent, un compositeur, interprète, guitariste, pianiste, harmoniciste, bassiste à ses heures, enfin bref il n'a pas besoin d'un valet de chambre pour lui montrer le chemin des toilettes, lui !

Pour l'histoire, il s'agit de la chanson qu'il a le plus interprétée en concert, et elle figure sur 4 de ses albums enregistrés en public [Before the Flood (1974), Bob Dylan at Budokan (1979), Dylan & The Dead (1989), MTV Unplugged (1995)].
